Burger King Japan Now Selling A “Pizza-Size” Whopper:
Some of you may remember the BK Whopper Bar in New York City’s 9.5″ diameter Pizza Burger from 2010. Well, a version of that monster has crossed the globe to hit the stomachs of Japanese eaters.
Dubbed the “Pizza-Size Burger,” the BK Japan take is slightly smaller (8.8″) and doesn’t got for the tomato sauce and melted cheese trappings of the NYC version. Instead, it’s four overlapping Whopper patties on a bun that can be, at least theoretically, easily divided for group-style noshing.
Explains Inventorspot.com:
You can order the Pizza-Size Burger in two different styles, though both styles are served in an odd “half & half” format with one half featuring the everyday Whopper’s toppings: tomato, onion, pickles, ketchup and so on. Slices of fresh avocado are added to the, er, “Fresh Avocado” version and tortilla chips, cheese sauce and jalapeno peppers occupy half of the “Cheese Nacho” version. Cut it up as you would a pie (or a pizza, duh) and dig in!
One of these beasts will set you back around $21.50 so bring friends to lighten the load.

Great interview with Ray Manzarek about how he got the piano riff for Light My Fire. Go listen…
This is exactly the kind of inspiration I need right now.
I’m The Stranger. Hard to believe these guys were doing this when I was 8 years old. Smith sure has changed his look over the years.
